Today's guests were former Pittsford Rotarian, Benjamin Lawrance, who is currently a member of the Brighton Rotary Club; Tom Waldgen, of the Fairport Rotary Club; guest speaker Karla Boyce and associate, John Dedes; and our very own exchange student Emma Gardner.

We started the meeting with greeter, Mike Pero, leading the invocation.  Pete Crooker announced the planning stages for our next and final fund raising event of the year, the Election Night Pasta Supper. Grace Soong announced the sale of the Penfield Camp Haccamo site, and Matt Wahl said that Emma needs a host family for the next 3 months of her stay.

We also got to know a  little more about Mike Carbone.  Mike currently works at Morgan Stanley as a financial adviser.  He graduated from University at Albany, SUNY.  In addition to the Rotary Club of Pittsford, Mike is an active member of Rochester young professionals and volunteers for CASH.  Mike lives in Pittsford with his wife Amalia and three children.

Nat Garfield informed us that American Portfolio approved the sponsorship of our new badges.  A million thanks, Nat! He also asked for volunteers to assist and chair with programs at Camp Haccamo. Several membeer signed up to volunteer, but we still need a Chairperson to represent our Club at the Camp Haccamo Board.  Please contact Nat (click here) if you would like to represent our Club on the Camp Haccamo Board.  Meetings are held monthly at Sage Rutty in Brighton.
