Fellow Rotarians distributed dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the Pittsford Central School District and St. Louis School. This project has created a lot of goodwill in the community and is often the most memorable contact of community families with the Pittsford Club. The key is a letter from Club President Grace Soong, that is sent home with each student receiving a dictionary. Teachers also encourage the students to write a thank you note to the Rotarians. Typically, 600 dictionaries are purchased for this project; 60 dictionaries are distributed at St. Louis, 50 are sent to Haiti, and the balance is distributed among the five Pittsford Elementary schools.
