Image Bob Vukosic is a guest lecturer at the Osur Institute at the Rochester Institute of Technology.  He has researched and presented on many areas.  On September 18, Bob presented information on the Human Microbiome.  There are about 10,000 species of microbes on a typical human.  The microbes weigh between 2 pounds and 6 pounds on a 200-pound person.  Some microbes are commensural (not providing benefits or threats), some are symbiotic and provide benefits, and some microbes are pathogens which create issues for humans.  Each person begins to acquire microbes from birth onward, and these microbes make a big difference in human health and adaptability to environmental changes.  We thank Bob for presenting a fascinating presentation describing how the Human Microbiome.
