Over 400 people attended the 12th Annual "A Taste of Pittsford" wine, food tastings and silent auction last Monday, March 9 from 6-8:30 p.m in support of the Rotary Club of Pittsford Foundation's community service projects at the Otto Shults Center at Nazareth College. The evening showcased the special tastes of 15 area restaurants, six Finger Lakes wineries, a distillery and craft beer from Lock 32, Pittsford's new brewery.
 
Fine samplings were provided by local restaurants including, Mario’s, Label 7, Good Smoke, Lisa’s Catering, The Highlands, Lemoncello, Original Crab Shack, Grey Ghost Catering, Village Coal Tower, Erie Grill, Amaya, Grand Cru Chocolates and Nuts, Tavern at Clover, Beans and Machines, Horizons at Woodcliff, and Dolce Cupcakery.
 
Finger Lakes wines were offered by Anthony Road Winery, Arbor Hill Winery, Casa Larga Vineyards & Winery, Red Tail Ridge Winery, Swedish Hill Winery and White Springs Winery as well as Apple Country Spirits and Lock 32 Brewery.
 
Special guests included Pittsford “Volunteer of the Year” Gil Landry, Channel 10’s Rebecca LeClair, Pam Sherman, author of the D&C’s “Suburban Outlaw” column, Adam Chodak of 13WHAM, and Town Supervisor Bill Smith. This was the third year that Taste added a silent auction that incorporated a massage package, dinner with local celebrities, food and jewelry gift baskets, tickets to local theater shows and golf packages.
