Wednesday, November 16, 2016, marked our 20th week together this 2016-17 Rotary year. We returned to the library for our typical sunrise breakfast meeting after a most successful Election Day evening of pasta, sauce and meatballs. Now that we served 800+ suppers last Tuesday, we are closing the books on our second of three major Club fundraisers this Rotary year! Today's guest is exchange student Julie Poisson.

DECEMBER IS BUSY! SAVE THESE DATES! Our Annual Holiday Party is Thursday evening, December 1 at Monroe Golf Club, and takes the place of our Wednesday morning meeting on November 30. The event promises to be festive and fun with raffles and a sing-a-long with Lynn and Manny Freshman. Please register now with Sharon Garofanello.

Saturday, December 3, is our “Special Friends Luncheon” at Calkins Road Middle School. Pat Mallery told us that he is preparing for 100 guests including 21 ARC of Monroe residents and staff, families and friends of Rotarians and Interact volunteers.

Tuesday, December 6, is the traditional “Candlelight Night” in the Town of Pittsford. Richard Colby passed out a sign-up sheet to volunteer as bell ringers for the Salvation Army.

RI President John Germ will be featured by the Rochester Rotary Club at the Joseph Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, also on December 6. We have reserved a table of ten already for the dinner.

Finally, Pat Mallery is bell ringing with the Interact volunteers all day at Eastview Mall on December 17.

Club member Bill Taylor was our guest speaker at today's meeting. He reflected on his first of 14 years of duty as an elected New York State Supreme Court Judge. He shared some very interesting tort cases. Judge Taylor was formerly Pittsford Town Justice and County Attorney.
