On Tuesday, December 2, Pittsford's Village streets were filled with holiday cheer and the sounds of live music, carolers and sleigh bells. Holiday lights twinkled in the night as hundreds of luminaries lined the sidewalks and streets. It was the (almost) perfect night for shopping, dining, and enjoying holiday treats.

The weather forecast called for wet snow with temperatures in the low to mid 30's. Yes, it was cold and miserable, but the Interact students of Pittsford, lead by Rotarians Harold McAuliffe and Pat Mallery braved the cold to make the "hundreds of luminaires" and sing Christmas carols in front of Town Hall. They proceeded to 19 Church Street, to sing more carols for the disabled residents of ARC of Monroe. Fellow Rotarians Richard Colby, Jim Murphy, Jim Cameron, Dylan Brown, Craig Kunkle also rang the bells for the Salvation Army kettles. Salvation Army and Executive Director Major Doug Hart stopped by to thank the Rotary Club of their annual support.
